#RoyalBaby Prediction

Posted on June 10, 2019 by HistoricalHoney

Kate and Wills had a baby, and the country is going bananas. We all know very little, but what we do know is that it’s a boy. So the next big question is…what are they going to call the future King of England?

It isn’t likely the Royal Family are going to break the mould and get all radical, naming the baby Crispin or Leroy. Therefore, purely based on the popularity of King’s names since 1066 here is our prediction…

1830 1832 Reform Act Hanover

A s you will see from the above table there have been 2x Charles. What with the whole Camillagate I’d say this is very unlikely.

Next up, Edward. Now this could be a possibility, but then again would William really want to name his first born after his Uncle Ed?

One likely choice could be George. It’s a popular choice for royal babies, with 6 x Georges in total sitting on the throne.

Henry also seems like a good choice…but you must remember our favourite Prince Harry is officially named Henry…and as much Wills and Kate favour Harry, would he really make a good role model for their Prince?

James could be a good one, but again it’s been taken by Kate’s brother…

John is an unpopular choice and perhaps for a reason (sorry to all the John’s reading this!)? It’s a bit of an old name for a young prince, unless they called him Johnny Boy?

Another great one could be Richard – But with ‘Rich’ for short you could only imagine the ridicule ‘Royal Richie Rich’…. Hmm perhaps not?

Stephen could be another choice…but ‘Stevie’ for short…. it sounds like one of the Made In Chelsea gang.

And that leaves William. Would Wills really name his son after him? I’m guess a possible middle name but I wouldn’t put my money on this.

Our Prediction: George William
